Electricity lights up rural areas in Lang Son

One more rural village in Bac Son district, the northern mountainous province of Lang Son has access to the national power grid, helping local residents enjoy the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Hanoi (VNA) – One more rural village in Bac Son district, thenorthern mountainous province of Lang Son has access to the national powergrid, helping local residents enjoy the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year(Tet) festival.

The work was inaugurated in Lan Hat village, Bac Son commune on December 18.

The facility includes over 4.75 kilometres of medium voltage line, 3.9kilometres of low voltage line, and one 50kVA transformer station.

The work forms part of the components under a project to connect rural areas inLang Son province to the national grid for 2015-2020.

Nguyen Cong Truong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, saidthe work provides electricity for over 50 households in the village, thusimproving their living conditions and the local economic development.

The project was approved under Decision 11815/QD-BCT dated October 30, 2015 tosupply power for around 4,348 rural households in 210 villages of 55 communesin 10 districts.-VNA
