Entries invited for Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards

The eighth Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards is accepting entries from both amateur and professional photographers living in Vietnam and abroad from June 1 to the end of August.

Hanoi (VNA) – The eighth Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards is accepting entries from bothamateur and professional photographers living in Vietnam and abroad from June 1to the end of August.

The annualcontest, held by the Vietnam Heritage Magazine, aims to highlight the beauty ofVietnam’s people and nature, particularly its internationally-recognised heritages.

Entries can besubmitted in three categories, including photo series (8-14 photos), coverphoto and single photo. They must not previously published on the media or havetaken part in any other photo competition.

The photosmust be taken within the last two years.

Organisers will present a total of 16 awards for allthree categories, including a special prize and a first prize each.

Thefive-member jury will beheaded by Vu Quoc Khanh, President of the Vietnam Association of PhotographicArtists.

The awardceremony is slated for theend of September this year, featuring an exhibition of winning photos./.

🅷 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
