Entries invited to national fine art photo contest on Vietnam’s sea and islands

Photographers are being invited to send entries to a national fine art photo competition and exhibition on Vietnamese sea and islands newly launched by the Party Central Committee’s Commission of Popularisation and Education.

Hanoi (VNA) – Photographers are being invited tosend entries to a national fine art photo competition and exhibition on Vietnamesesea and islands newly launched by the Party Central Committee’s Commission ofPopularisation and Education.

The competition aims to promote the beauty of Vietnam’s seaand islands among art lovers domestically and internationally and honour peoplewith outstanding contribution to socio-economic development and safeguardingthe country’s maritime sovereignty.

It is open to both amateur and professional photographers,either Vietnamese citizens living at home or overseas or foreigners in Vietnam.

Entries are suggested to depict the beauty of Vietnam’s seaand islands and the close ties between them and generations of Vietnamesepeople; life of soldiers and people in coastal areas and at sea and how peoplein these areas preserve and promote their distinctive tradition cultures. Theentries can also describe activities to protect marine environment andecosystem and international cooperation to ensure peace and security at sea.

They must be submitted at www.anhnghethuatbiendaoquehuong.com before midnight of September 30, 2021.
Winners will be awarded with medals and prizes in cash worth up to 20 million VND (872 USD) and have their works displayed at an exhibition held by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists./.
