Exhibition reflects Vietnam-Lao ties through lens of the press
Hundreds of magazines, newspapers, books, documentaries, and photos on Vietnam, Laos and their friendship are on display at the National Palace of Culture in Vientiane, Laos.

Vientiane (VNA) – Hundreds of magazines,newspapers, books, documentaries, and photos on Vietnam, Laos and their friendshipare on display at the National Palace of Culture in Vientiane, Laos.
The exhibition on Vietnam and Laos through the lens ofthe press opened on November 2 to celebrate the 55th anniversary of theVietnam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962) and the 40th year of theVietnam-Laos Treaty on Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977).
The opening ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Ministerof Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, head of the Lao Party’sCommission for Propaganda and Training Kikeo Khaykhamphihoune, and Lao Ministerof Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdala.
Some 474 newspapers and magazines, nearly 90 books and240 photos on the traditional relations between the two countries and theirpeoples, nature and economic achievements are exhibited alongside a collectionof documentaries about Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Information, Cultureand Tourism Bosengkham Vongdala said the exhibition not only shows thedevelopment of the press in Vietnam but also reflects the Vietnamese customsand culture.-VNA
A photo exhibition highlighting the fine relations between Vietnam and Laos and between Ho Chi Minh City and Xiang Khouang province opened on July 31 in the Lao province.
Ho Chi Minh City authorities, on August 23, received a delegation from Laos’ Xiengkhuang province, led by Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Outhane Masisonxay.
Vietnam and Laos share more than 2,000 km of border. Along the border there are many Vietnamese-Lao family living happily, helping to strengthen the two countries’ relations.

For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
