Expressway proposed in central region

Project Management Board 6 (MPB6) has proposed building an expressway connecting National Highway 46 in the central province of Nghe An to Bai Vot in Ha Tinh province.

Hanoi (VNA) – Project M♍anagement Board 6 (MPB6) has propoꦉsed building an expressway connecting National Highway 46 in the central province of Nghe An to Bai Vot in Ha Tinh province.

The road, which is nearly 20km long, will cost more than 5.5 trillion VND (244 million USD). The project is scheduled to be rolled out in two phases: the 17m-wide road with four lanes allowing vehicles to travel at speed of 80km/h will be built during the first phase, while six standard lanes with a designed speed of 120km/h will be completed during the second phase. If approved, the project will start in the third quarter of 2017 and be completed in three years.-VNA
