Illustrative image (Source: Internet) HCM City (VNA) - The HCM City Department of Tourism, inco-operation with its partners, will organise a free fashion and technologyfestival on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street next month.
The three-day event, Fashionology Festival, will include outdoor fashion,music and song shows to entertain residents and visitors.
Fashion shows will feature 300 fashion models, including top models Thanh Hangand Hoang Thuy, in the latest collections, with different themes about life andlove, by talented designers.
The models will wear ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) designedby Thuan Viet, Truong Thanh Hai, Ha Nhat Tien and Tuan Tran.
Music and song performances will feature young singers and dancers from leadingtraditional art troupes in the region, and electronic music and lightperformances will also be highlighted.
The festival will debut on October 20 to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Daybefore more than 10,000 visitors. It is expected to attract more than200,000.
The department has spent 30 billion VND (1.3 million USD) on the festival.
“We will organise Fashionology Festival every year to promote thecity’s tourist activities,” said a representative of the department.-VNA
