Female boxer ranks fourth in world’s mini-flyweight ranking
Female boxer Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi moved up by one spot to the fourth place in the world’s mini-flyweight ranking, according to the latest ranking by boxing's official record keeper BoxRec.

Hanoi (VNA) –☂ Female boxer Nguyen Thi Thu Nhimoved up by one spot to the fourth place in the world’s mini-flyweight ranking,according to the latest ranking by boxing's official record keeper BoxRec.
With a cumulative point of 15.32, Nhi is among four boxersearning 3.5-star level in this weight class. She made history for becoming Vietnam's first World BoxingOrganisation champion after winning a WBO belt on October 23 in Ansan, theRepublic of Korea. The Vietnamese boxer took the title on a split decision withtwo judges scoring Nhi at 96 points, two more than her Japanese rival EtsukoTada after 10 rounds of the women's mini-flyweight title fight. Nhi’s triumph also broke the dominance of Japanese boxers'mini-flyweight class in seven years./.
Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi will have to wait till April for her chance to become the first Vietnamese world female boxing champion after her fight was delayed.

Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
