Fencers, gymnasts, weightlifter win more SEA Games golds for Vietnam
Female fencers Phung Thi Khanh Linh, Pham Thi Thu Hoai, Bui Thi Thu Ha and Le Minh Hang at May 14 noon won one more gold medal for Vietnam in the women’s sabre team event at the ongoing 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Female fencers Phung Thi Khanh Linh, Pham Thi ThuHoai, Bui Thi Thu Ha and Le Minh Hang at May 14 noon won one more gold medalfor Vietnam in the women’s sabre team event at the ongoing 32nd SEAGames in Cambodia.
Earlier the same day, Vietnamese aerobic athletes grabbedtwo golds, raising the total number of gold medals claimed by the Vietnamese teamto five in five events of this year’s Games.
Specifically, Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi and Le Hoang Phong broughthome a gold in the mixed pair event. The duo also joined Nguyen Viet Anh,Nguyen Che Thanh and Vuong Hoai An to gain the highest score at the group (5)event to win the gold.

Meanwhile, in weightlifting, Tran Minh Tri clinched the goldat the men’s 67kg category, with a combined lift of 306kg.
As of 3pm on May 14, Vietnam still topped the medal tally,with 91 golds, 79 silvers and 87 bronzes. It was followed by Thailand with 79golds, and host Cambodia 60 golds./.
Nong Van Huu on May 12 bagged a gold medal at Nandao/Nangun event at the ongoing SEA Games 32 in Cambodia, the second the Vietnamese wushu team has got at this year’s regional games after female athlete Duong Thuy Vi claimed the first on May 11.
After the victory of Duong Thuy Vi, Nguyen Thi Lan and Nong Van Huu, the Vietnamese wushu team went on to grab three more gold medals on May 12 afternoon.
After excellently winning three gold medals in the women’s 1,500m and 3,000m steeplechase, on May 12 runner Nguyen Thi Oanh won another gold in the women's 10,000m event.
Vietnamese aerobic athletes got a hat trick of golds while cyclist Nguyen Thi That won a gold medal in the morning session of May 13 at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
