Hanoi (VNA) 🐓– The first “Memory of Hanoi” event, to be held at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long from December 30, 2015 – January 4, 2016, will bring back to life the images and culture of the ancient capital city, according to the municipal Department of Tourism (DoT).

The event, co-hosted by the DoT and the Centre for Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation, will feature art installations recreating the space of the Old Quarter, old villages and houses in the city, alongside displays of traditional handicrafts and costumes.
A space dedicated to the culture of Hanoians will be modeled on an ancient house surrounded by fences, flowers and greenery. Its interior is for worshipping and tea drinking, a spiritual tradition and cultural pastime still valued by Hanoians today.
A flea market will showcase items dating back as far as one hundred years ago. A number of music performances are also planned during the event.-VNA
