First Vietnam brocade culture festival to open in Dak Nong

The first Vietnam brocade culture festival and Dak Nong investment promotion conference will take place in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong from December 28-30, heard a local press conference on November 27.

Dak Nong (VNA) – The first Vietnam brocadeculture festival and Dak Nong investment promotion conference will take placein the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong from December 28-30, heard alocal press conference on November 27. 

The events are part of activities celebratingthe 15th founding anniversary of the province (January 1, 2004). 

During the festival co-hosted by the Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial People’s Committee, a symposium onbrocade culture, a street festival and a brocade fashion show will beheld. 

The province will also revive severaltraditional festivals of ethnic minorities living there. 

During the investment promotion conference, DakNong will present investment decisions and licenses to businesses with a totalcapital of nearly 100 trillion VND (4.34 billion USD). 

The provincial People’s Committee will call forinvestment in 25 projects worth roughly 6.66 trillion VND during the 2018-2020period, mostly in infrastructure, industry, trade-services-tourism. 

In mid-December, it will also hold pressconferences in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to announce the two events. -VNA

💯 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
