Hanoi (VNA) – 💝Photographer Linh Pham will be thefirst Vietnamese ever to join the World Press Photo Contest jury.

The photographer, whose full name is Pham Ha Duy Linh, willbe responsible for the judging process of entries from Southeast Asia andOceania along with four others from the UK, Indonesia, Singapore and thePhilippines. He is a frequent contributor to Getty Images, The New YorkTimes, and National Geographic, amongst others, and his work has been publishedacross platforms worldwide, according to the contest organisers.

First launched in 1955, the annual World Press Photo Contestrecognises and celebrates the best photojournalism and documentary photographyproduced over the last year. In the 2022 World Press Photo Contest, in each of the sixregions of Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, South America, andSoutheast Asia and Oceania, a selection of entries per category will first bemade by a regional jury to send to a global jury./.

😼 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
