Five foreign volleyball teams and the host Vietnam will compete at the International Women’s Volleyball Championship 2015 VTV Cup Sac Ngoc Khang, according to organisers.

The fiveforeign teams include Thailand’s U23 volleyball team, the Philippinevolleyball team, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea volleyballteam and the Lianing and Nanjing volleyball teams, both of which arefrom China.
As released at a news conferenceheld on July 20 in Hanoi, the tournament will take place from July 25 toAugust 1 in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.
Vietnam will play the Philippines in the opening match on July 25 at the Bac Lieu sports gymnasium.
The tournament is an annual event held since 2004. Vietnam won last year’s event after beating Thailand 3-1.-VNA
It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
