Hanoi (VNA) – The National Steering Committee onCOVID-19 Prevention and Control’s Treatment Sub-Committee on July 13 announcedfive more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalitiesto 130.
These cases are in Ho Chi Minh City, the southern provinceof Dong Nai and the northern province of Bac Giang and all of them sufferedserious underlying diseases.
Specifically, the 126th death is a 38-year-oldwoman, residing in Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City. She tested positive toSARS-CoV-2 on June 29 and died on July 5 from kidney failure and pneumonia.
The 127th fatality is a 39-year-old man inDistrict 1, Ho Chi Minh City. He was found positive to the virus on June 21.Suffering pulmonary tuberculosis, he died on July 6 due to pneumonia caused bythe virus, sepsis shock and chronic kidney failure.
The 128th case is a man, 61, residing in District8, Ho Chi Minh City, and has suffered high blood pressure for 10 years. Aftertesting positive on June 20, he passed away on July 6.
The 129th death is a 48-year-old woman, residingin Dong Nai province, had high blood pressure, type-2 diabetes and obesity. Shedied on July 7 after testing positive five days earlier.
The 130th fatality is a 55-year-old man in BacGiang province. He suffered from cirrhosis and tested positive on June 15. Hepassed away on July 11./.
Vietnam logged an additional 466 COVID-19 cases in the past 12 hours to 6am on July 13, including one imported in the southern province of Tay Ninh, reported the Ministry of Health.
