Hanoi (VNA) - Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has paid avisit to Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) football club in the central province of Nghe An.

Giggs is working as a director for the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese FootballTalent (PVF) Football Training Centre in the northern province of Hung Yen.

The Manchester United legend met with SLNA representatives and had an exchangewith young footballers.

Giggs said he is glad to see that SLNA is working to develop football in thecountry, supplying many players for the senior national team.

The retired player, 45, also pledged to continue to support SLNA in theirtraining and development with a particular focus on training and injurytreatment facilities.

The Welsh star then paid a visit to Ha Tinh province as part of a PVFinitiative to boost football development.

In Ha Tinh, Giggs met with local children and football fans as well as had ameeting with football coaches and those working in the sport sector to shareexperience on football development.-VNA
