Many delegations of foreign parties, States and Governments, and representatives of international organisations in Vietnam came to pay last respects to President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi on September 26.

Hanoi (VNA) – Many delegations of foreign parties, States and Governments, andrepresentatives of international organisations in Vietnam came to pay lastrespects to President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi on September 26.
The mournersincluded Lao Vice President Phankham Viphavanh,Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, Vice President of Cuba’s Council of State and Council of Ministers RobertoMorales Ojeda, and Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma ofRussia EpifanovaOlga Nikolaevna led the delegations to the ceremony.
Adelegation from Japan was led by Secretary-General of the Liberal DemocraticParty of Japan ToshihiroNikai. Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michikoalso sent a wreath to the funeral.
Prime Minister Lee NakYeon led a delegation from the Republic of Korea, while DeputyPrime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Heanheaded a delegation from Singapore.
Joining the line ofdelegations were delegates from the World Federation of Trade Union led byGeneral Secretary George Mavrikos, and from Mozambique led by former PresidentArmando Emilio Guebuza.
ArchbishopMarek Zalewski, Non-residential Pontifical Representative to Vietnam, andCardinal NguyenVan Nhon also led delegations of the Vatican and the CatholicBishops’ Conference of Vietnam, respectively, to pay homage to President Quang.
TheState funeral for the President began at 7am on September 26 at the NationalFuneral Hall, No.5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
Thememorial service will be held at 7:30am on September 27 at the National FuneralHall. The burial ceremony will take place from 3:30pm on the same day in thePresident's native land in Quang Thien commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binhprovince.
Respect-paying and memorial ceremonies for PresidentTran Dai Quang are also being held at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh Cityand in village 13, Quang Thien commune.
The nation is observing a two-day nationalmourning on September 26 and 27.-VNA
