Former MU, Liverpool footballers to play in Hanoi

Former players of Liverpool and Manchester United will play friendly against former Vietnamese stars next month.

Media company DC was reported by the Thanh Nien (Young People)newspaper as saying that five former players of the English PremierLeague clubs including Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke – the two championsof the Euro Champions League in 1999, Bryan Robson, Ian Rush and JohnBarne will join the match.

Former Liverpool players to play in Hanoi include Dominic Matteo, Stan Collymore and Patrick Berger.

The two matches, to take place on November 19 and 20, are part of theMasters 2009 – a friendship football event that will be jointlyorganised by the Media company DC and the Vietnam Football Federation(VFF).

Former Vietnamese stars will play Manchester United’s veterans at MyDinh Stadium in Hanoi before playing Liverpool ’s former stars the nextday./.
