Four former officials of Da Nang proposed to be expelled from Party

Hanoi (VNA) - The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission onSeptember 14 announced the results of its 48th meeting in Hanoi fromSeptember 9 to 11.

Chaired by Secretaryof the Party Central Committee and head of the commission Tran Cam Tu, themeeting considered reports from the Standing Board of the Central MilitaryCommission on disciplinary actions against several Party members.

The commissionfound that several former leaders of Army Corps 15 and the Song Thu Corporationunder the General Department of Defence Industry committedviolations in leadership, production and trade, asset and equipmentprocurement, and land use and management.

Considering the nature, level, and consequences of theviolations and Party regulations on disciplining Party members, the commissiondecided to relieve Maj. Gen Nguyen Xuan Sang from his position of former ViceSecretary of the Party Committee of Army Corps 15 for the 2010-2015 tenure andformer Commander of Army Corps 15.

Warnings were given to former Vice Secretary of theParty Committee and former Commander of Army Corps 15 Maj. Gen Dang Anh Dung;former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Political Commissar of ArmyCorps 15 Maj. Gen Nguyen Duy Ngo; and former Secretary of the Party Committee andformer Chairman cum General Director of the Song Thu Corporation Col. Ha SonHai.

Other officers of Army Corps 15, the Song ThuCorporation and the General Department of Defence Industry were also reprimanded.

The commission asked the Party Central Committee’sSecretariat to expel four former officials of central Da Nang city from theParty as a disciplinary measure for seriously violating laws, including formerVice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party CivilAffairs Committee, and former Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee VanHuu Chien; former Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen NgocTuan; former Director of the municipal Department of Environment and NaturalResources Nguyen Dieu; and former Secretary of the municipal Party Committee ofIndustrial Parks Dao Tan Bang./.
