French Cultural Centre in Hanoi opens new branch

The French Cultural Centre (L'Espace) in Hanoi has opened a new branch on the campus of the Hanoi University of Architecture in Ha Dong district, as part of activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France.​

Hanoi (VNA) – The French Cultural Centre(L'Espace) in Hanoi has opened a new branch on the campus of the HanoiUniversity of Architecture in Ha Dong district, as part of activities tocelebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnamand France. Addressing the opening ceremony on April 6, French Ambassador toVietnam Bertrand Lortholary noted that L’Espace Ha Dong is launched right afterthe France visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam NguyenPhu Trong.

He expressed hopes that learners of French courses held by thecentre will act to foster cultural relations between the two countries.

🐼 Meanwhile, Rector of the Hanoi University of Architecture Le Quan said that theopening of the centre inside the university will create a multiculturalenvironment for students of the facility, facilitate easy access to the Frenchculture, especially architecture.

Students of the university can also have more opportunities instudying in French universities thanks to the centre, he added.
🐟 Quan pledged that the Hanoi University of Architecture is alwayswilling to cooperate with the centre in implementing French cultural programmesand activities.

The opening of the branch was planned from 2016. In 2017, theHanoi University of Architecture and the L’Espace, which is headquartered inTrang Tien street of Hoan Kiem district, reached an agreement on the launchingof the facility. It has been opened to visitors since 2017. Each French languagecourse at the branch can accommodate 80 students. Language courses at thecentre, which are designed to meet the diverse needs of learners, and culturalevents have attracted large numbers of participants.-VNA
