Hanoi (VNA) 🤡– French film Ciel Rouge (Red Sky), featuring Vietnameselandscapes, will hit Vietnamese cinemas in October 2017.
Themovie was directed by Oliver Lorelle and stars French-Vietnamese actress AudreyGiacomini. They met with the Vietnamese audience at a premier screening of thefilm in Hanoi on June 28. Thefilm tells a love story between a young French soldier and a Vietnamese girl atthe beginning of the Indochina War, with scenes of Ba Be Lake in Bac Kanprovince and Dong Van, Meo Vac districts of Ha Giang province. Itwill be screened in France on July 19.-VNA
The Vietnamese film “Dao cua dan ngu cu” or The Way Station was presented during the Vietnam Night at the Cannes Film Festival that ran from May 17-22 in France.
“Dao cua dan ngu cu” (The Way Station) by director Hong Anh has been selected to compete at the Eurasia International Film Festival, which will take place in Kazakhstan from July 22-28.
Young female director Luk Van’s latest TV show, Khi Ta 16 (When We’re 16), will broadcast on HCM Television this week after more than a year of shooting.
Vietnamese movie, Co Gai Den Tu Hom Qua (The Girl from Yesterday), has been nominated for an award at the 21st Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival – BIFAN which will take place in Bucheon, the Republic of Korea (RoK) from July 13- 23.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
