Friendship Order awarded to German organisations, individuals
The Germany-Vietnam Association, the Germany-Vietnam Friendship Association and two German citizens have been awarded the Friendship Order of Vietnam for their contributions to the country.

Berlin (VNA) – The Germany-Vietnam Association, the Germany-Vietnam Friendship Association and two German citizens have been awarded the Friendship Order of Vietnam for their contributions to the country’s construction and protection.
The decoration was also made to acknowledge their role in strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Germany.
The Germany-Vietnam Association, photographer Thomas Billhardt and documentary director Jurgen Eike were presented with the order at a ceremony held at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany on September 19.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung said the Vietnamese State and people treasure the friendship and assistance of foreign organisations and individuals for Vietnam, both during the wartime and in the current national construction cause.
He said the Vietnam-Germany relationship is in a good place and wished organisations and German friends will continue making contributions to promoting the strategic partnership between the two countries.
A representative of the Germany-Vietnam Association, photographer Thomas Billhardt and documentary director Jurgen Eike thanked the Vietnamese State for the noble award and expressed their willingness to continue boosting the understanding between the people of the two countries.
