Hanoi (VNA) – German Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Berger was presented the StatePresident’s Friendship Order in Hanoi on July 26 for his active contribution toVietnam – Germany relations and cooperation.
Speaking atthe ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister To Anh Dung affirmed the conferment isthe appreciation of the Vietnamese State, Government and people towards thediplomat’s continuous contributions to boosting the two countries’ friendshipand multifaceted collaboration in the past time.
He took theoccasion to mention the nations’ exchange of ideas for the draft Vietnam –Germany strategic action plan and preparations for celebrating the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2020.
Dung said hehopes Berger, in any positions and anywhere, will continue his valuablecontributions to the bilateral ties.
Expressing his honour to receive the order,Berger stated Germany values and wants to reinforce its strategic partnershipwith Vietnam, particularly bilateral cooperation across fields, includingadvanced technology, education – training, and economy – trade.-VNA

Knapper reaffirmed the US's commitment to supporting a strong, independent, prosperous and resilient Vietnam, while respecting each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence and political systems.
Vietnam is deeply concerned about the escalating and complex conflict in the Middle East, which poses a serious threat to the lives and safety of civilians, as well as to regional and global peace and stability.
