Gathering in HCM City marks Hungary's National Day

Speakingat the event, Chairman of HCM City's Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association LeMinh Triet said over the past more than seven decades, Vietnam and Hungary havekept fostering their friendship and cooperation.
Withinthe framework of the bilateral comprehensive partnership, the rapid development havebeen seen in trade, education-training. Thepotential for further expansion of cooperation remains significant, as eachcountry possesses specific strengths that can complement each other.
HCM City and the capital city ofBudapest already signed a friendship and cooperation agreement. District 1 of HCM City and District 11 of Budapest also inked a twinning agreement,he said.
ConsulGeneral of Hungary in HCM City Lehocz Gabor said the HungarianGovernment always prioritises tightening relations with Vietnam.
He alsopledged to develop friendly relations betweenthe two countries through cultural, technological, and economic exchangeactivities.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
