German Festival Kulturfest 2020 set to begin on October 2
Hanoi is scheduled to host the German Festival Kulturfest 2020 between October 2 and October 4 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi is scheduled to host the German FestivalKulturfest 2020 between October 2 and October 4 to celebrate the 45thanniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany, reported theVoice of Vietnam (VOV).
Representatives of the organisers, including the VOV, the Vietnam-GermanyFriendship Association, and the association of Vietnamese small-and-mediumsized enterprises in Germany, gathered together at a meeting held in Hanoi onSeptember 24 in order to make preparations for the event.
The occasion will see a wide range of activities take place, including a forumdetailing economic cooperation between the two countries, art performances, andother cultural exchange activities.
The highlight of the event is set to be a beer festival that draws inspirationfrom the renowned German beer festival Oktoberfest, with visitors being giventhe chance to sample a range of German delicacies.
The festival also aims to provide an entertainment corner suitable for childrenand provide them with toys figurines and a magic performance. Furthermore, guests will be able toparticipate in of delightful activities, exciting games, a beer drinkingcompetition, compete to win stunning prizes, in addition to many othersurprises.
The organisers have therefore agreed to coordinate plans with Hanoi’sDepartment of Health in order to conduct necessary COVID-19 prevention andcontrol measures during the event./.
In 2011, leaders of Vietnam and Germany signed the Hanoi Joint Declaration, upgrading bilateral relations to a strategic partnership, creating a new impetus to promote cooperation between the two countries.
Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.

This marks the first time Vietnam has hosted a continental-level Muay event which will feature competitions across 28 weight categories in combat and eight performance categories.
Coming to the Vietnamese booth, visitors had the chance to take part in a bamboo dance, a workshop on painting woven bamboo or rattan, or quizzes about Vietnam.
