German President speaks highly of Strategic Partnership with Vietnam
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on April 7 appreciated the good development of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership over the past decade at a reception for the new Vietnamese Ambassador, Vu Quang Minh, following a ceremony to receive the ambassador's letter of credentials.

Berlin (VNA) - German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on April 7appreciated the good development of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnershipover the past decade at a reception for the new Vietnamese Ambassador, Vu Quang Minh, following a ceremony to receive the ambassador's letter of credentials.
The President expressed his hope that the ambassadorwill actively contribute to promoting the bilateral relations in all fields.
Minh thanked the President for paying attention to the bilateralties as well as the 200,000-strong Vietnamese community living in his country.
He also expressed his gratitude for Germany’s granting ofover 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and medical supplies and equipment forVietnam when it was in need.
Vietnam always attaches importance to its relations withGermany, the ambassador said, pledging to exert every effort in his capacity to deepenthe bilateral friendship and cooperation.
At the meeting, both sides also exchanged views on severalregional and international issues of mutual concern, including the conflict inUkraine and issues related to peace, stability and development cooperation inthe Asia-Pacific region./.
Germany's Robert Koch-Institute (RKI) on March 1 decided to remove 60 countries and territories across the world, including Vietnam, from the list of the countries that are highly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
