Hanoi (VNA)💦 - Vietnamese national football team'sgoalkeeper Dang Van Lam has been signed by Muangthong United FC of Thailand.
The Thai team paid a transfer fee of 3 billionVND (130,000 USD) to Hai Phong FC for his services. The three-year deal will pay Lam 10,000 USD amonth. The club will also provide him with an apartment and a car. Lam is a rising star in the region after heplayed a key role in Vietnam’s ASEAN Football Federation Cup triumph. He wasalso voted the best keeper of the tournament and was selected in the Cup’s BestXI. "After the AFF Cup success, I receivepeople’s attention and support as well as favourable conditions if I keepplaying in Vietnam. But I don’t want to stay in the ‘safe zone’, I want to facewith challenges to have new experiences in my career” Lam said. Lam, 25, will move to Thailand after the end ofthe Asian Cup in the UAE.
