Hanoi (VNA)💦 - The Party and State held a solemn ceremony at the Hanoi-based Military Central Hospital 108 on July 18 afternoon to award the Gold Star Order to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, Politburo member and President To Lam announced the decision to confer the order on Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and presented the Order to the Party chief.
The ceremony was attended by all members of the Political Bureau and the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, officials who are assisting the Party General Secretary, and representatives of his family.
The decision to award the Gold Star Order, the highest honour of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is the recognition of the Party, State and people for his great and exceptionally outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation./.
The Politburo on July 18 issued a Decision to award the Gold Star Order to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
Following a request of the Specialised Council for Protection of Central-level Officials' Health, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong has, over the recent past, been managing the work and taking health treatment and care at the same time, a notice by the Politburo said.
