Tokyo (VNA) – Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai on August 23 calledfor Japan’s support to Vietnam’s administrative reform, e-Government building,and personnel training.

He made theproposal during a working session with Japan’s Minister of Internal Affairs andCommunications Seiko Noda in Tokyo.

Theofficial highlighted the friendship, mutual trust, respect, and mutuallybeneficial cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

Khai said thanksto the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation signed in 2013 by Vietnam’sGovernment Inspectorate and the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs andCommunications, the two sides have since exchanged many delegations.

TheGovernment Inspectorate has greatly valued the Japanese side’s support intraining 65 groups of officials since 2014, contributing to improving theefficiency of inspection, resident reception, and settlement of administrativepetitions in Vietnam, Khai said.

Theofficial expressed his hope that Vietnam and Japan will develop their extensivestrategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia along with their sincerefriendship.

For herpart, Seiko Noda noted the fruitful relations between the Vietnamese GovernmentInspectorate and the Japanese ministry, saying she hopes that the relationshipwill be maintained in times ahead.

Earlier,Khai and his delegation studied administrative consultation activities inTokyo.

They arescheduled to visit Japan’s House of Councillors and Tochigi prefecture.–VNA
