Guest chefs present Malaysia’s diversified cuisine in Hanoi

Two talented Malaysian guest chefs from hotel Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur are in Hanoi to present their country’s diverse cuisine during the Malaysia Gastronomy Week.

Hanoi (VNA) – Two talented Malaysian guest chefs from hotel LeMeridien Kuala Lumpur are in Hanoi to present their country’s diverse cuisineduring the Malaysia Gastronomy Week.

The event, organised by Sheraton Hanoi Hotel in collaboration with the Embassyof Malaysia in Hanoi, aims to celebrate Malaysia’s National Day(August 31).

Malaysia has a gastronomic tradition that combines different cuisines, from itsAsian neighbours such as China and India to Western countries like Portugal,the Netherlands and the UK.

This unique blend has formed a fascinating Malaysian cuisine with distinctiveand familiar flavours.

During the gastronomy week, Hanoian gourmets will have a chance to enjoyMalaysian dishes prepared by Malaysian chefs Sazli Nazim Bin Ismail andMohammad Wafit Bin Mahtar.

With more than 20 years of working in hospitality, chef Ismail twice won the"Most Outstanding Chef" at the Culinary Malaysia awards in 2007,2013. His colleague, chef Mahtar won the iChef 2017 Gold Medal for"Innovative Breakfast".

Alongside tasty food, customers have enjoyed various performances fromMalaysian artists on August 31 and September 1. The performances feature traditionaldances, traditional instrumental performances and unique Teh Tarik blending art– also known as "Pulled Tea" by the Teh Tarik ambassador Norazlin BinMat Janus.

The Gastronomy Week includes a buffet lunch and dinner starting from 620,000VND (30 USD)/person. The event runs until September 5 at Oven D’or Restaurant.-VNA

🔜 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
