Ha Long Carnival: Trade-tourism-food fair opens

A trade-tourism-food fair was inaugurated on April 26 in Ha Long city in Quang Ninh province as part of the Ha Long Carnival which officially opens on April 27.
A trade-tourism-food fair was inaugurated on April 26 in Ha Long city inQuang Ninh province as part of the Ha Long Carnival which officiallyopens on April 27.

The fair attracted more than 100enterprises and organizations nationwide with more than 120 stalls,featuring high-quality Vietnamese products such as textiles, machines,farm produce, processed food, arts and crafts, household goods andtourism services.

Fashion and comedy shows will be held during the evening at the fair.

According to Do Khanh Tung, Deputy Director of the provincialDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fair creates a chance forQuang Ninh province to introduce its tourism potential to visitors. Italso helps local businesses promote their brands and expand links withdomestic and international partners.

The 2013 Ha Long Carnivalis the seventh of its kind in Quang Ninh province, aiming to drawattention to its tourism potential.

The carnival’s street showis expected to draw more than 5,000 local artists, models and dancers,and art troupes from China, Laos and the Republic of Korea, togetherwith a parade of six flower carriages featuring Quang Ninh’s tourismresources.-VNA
