Hai Phong must strive for master plan realisation: NA Chairman

Hai Phong (VNA) – National Assembly ChairmanVuong Dinh Hue has ordered Hai Phong to promptly translate its vision,perspective, and goals into specific and detailed plans, showingthe best performance in implementing the master plan of the northern port city to2040 with a vision to 2050.
During a working session with the municipal Party Committee on January 6afternoon as part of his working trip to the city, the top legislator expressedhis impression on the the remarkable 10.34% growthof the local Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) index, which is nearlytwice the national average.
According to reports presentedat the working session, Hai Phong’s export turnover hit 31 billion USD, equalto 107.7% of the same period last year. Hai Phong maintained double-digitgrowth for nine consecutive years, and it is always among the top fivelocalities in the provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) rankings.
NA Chairman Hue applauded efforts by the municipal authorities in improvingthe investment and business environment, and attracting foreign investment,saying that the recent establishment off three industrial clusters has contributedsignificantly to creating new production motivation for the city.
He also valued the positive results the locality achieved in the fields of new-stylerural building, social housing development and digitalisation; ensuring social security;as well as its notable progress in culture, education, health care, andscientific-technology domains.
Building and consolidating the Party and the political system has been carried out systematically and resolutely, while attent💟ion has been paidto the personnel work, he highlighted.
Agreeingwith the goals, tasks, solutions as well as orientations stated in the masterplan of Hai Phong to 2040 with a vision to 2050, NA Chairman Hue stressed thatthe city possesses conditions to continue sustaining breakthroughdevelopment.
He requested the municipalauthorities toevaluaꦦte more thoroughly the implementation of set targets, thus rearranging goals💟to ensure more feasibility.
The top legislator emphasisesthe need for Hai Phong to set up a rapid response force to swiftlyimplement tasks related to the establishment of administrative units followingthe urban government model and to reorganise administrative units./.
Secretary of the Party Committee of the northern port city of Hai Phong Le Tien Chau had a working session with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) on November 20 as part of his trip to the US for the APEC Leaders’ Week.
