Hanoi and Amsterdam city of the Netherlands have agreed to foster collaboration in various fields such as water supply and drainage , waste treatment, urban planning, smart city development, cultural exchanges, tourism, health and post-graduate education.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao and Amsterdam Mayor Aberhard Van der Laan during the former’s visit to the Netherlands from September 8-11 .
In the immediate time, Amsterdam will help Hanoi improve the water quality on To Lich River.
During the stay, the Hanoi delegation also met with a number of relevant bodies and enterprises to learn experience in environmental protection and heritage preservation.-VNA

The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
