Hanoi marks 70 years of India’s Independence Day

The Embassy of India in Vietnam held a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of India’s Independence Day (August 15, 1947) in Hanoi on August 15.
Hanoi (VNA) – The Embassy of India inVietnam held a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of India’s IndependenceDay (August 15, 1947) in Hanoi on August 15.

Speaking to his guests, who included Minister ofInformation and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, Indian Ambassador ParvathaneniHarish affirmed the close relations between the two countries.

The bilateral cooperation is growing in variousfields such as defense-security, economics, science-technology, human resourcesand training, and culture, he noted.

He said 2017 is the year of friendship betweenVietnam and India since the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversaryof their diplomatic ties, the 10th anniversary of strategic partnership, and the25th anniversary of ASEAN-India dialogue partnership.-VNA
