Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung presented 100gift packages to Catholic people with disadvantaged backgrounds during his Tetvisits to Thai Ha and Cua Bac parishes on January 25.

He extended his Tet greetings and wishes of good health, happiness, andprosperity to the priests and Catholic followers in these parishes.

He said Hanoi allocated over 400 billion VND and mobilized more from otherresources to purchase Tet gifts for over 850,000 poor households, social policybeneficiaries, and revolution contributors.

Later on the day, he visited social policy beneficiaries and war veterans in BaDinh district.

He expressed his deep thanks to war invalids and veterans for their greatsacrifices and contributions to the nation building and defence and wished thema new year of good health, happiness and wealth.-VNA
