Hanoi (VNA) – Foreign tourists will be charmed by an unique circus shoﷺw enꦐtitled Lang Toi (My Village) at Hanoi Opera House on July 16.
It will be held every Monday and Tuesday at 6pm, allowing the local people and tourists to enjoy one of the most successful circus performances by Vietnamese artists.
Lang Toi is the brainchild of three artistes, Nguyen Nhat Ly, Nguyen Lan and Le Ngoc Tuan Anh. Built around Vietnam’s typical history and culture, Lang Toi creates a pleasant, lively and poetic journey to a typical Vietnamese village via an image familiar to every Vietnamese, bamboo trees.
During the 2009-2012 period, 300 performances of Lang Toi were held in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, besides Egypt and Spain.
Following the global trend, Lang Toi is planned in the form of a ‘new circus’ in which traditional circus skills are performed, supported by light effects and music to present a specific story and characters.-VNA
Le Ngoc Tuan Anh, a world-famous Vietnamese juggler, has significantly contributed to promoting the image of Vietnamese village life to the world through his unique and interesting performances, said radio The Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
