The fifth international book fair is scheduled to take place in Hanoi’s Thong Nhat Park from September 10-14, announced Chu Van Hoa, Director General of the Authority of Publication, Printing and Distribution under the Ministry of Information and Communication.
The fair will feature nearly 200 stalls from more than 100 publishers and distributors in Vietnam and abroad, including the Southeast Asian and Asia-Pacific publishing associations and a Cuban book institute, said Hoa, who is also head of the fair’s organising board.
An exhibition space will be on display with more than 3,000 publications arranged to illustrate the development and integration process of Vietnam.
Workshops on different aspects of the book industry are also part of the event.
The fair has been held twice annually since 2013 with the aim to foster the joy of reading, boosting book copyright transactions and international cooperation in the field.-VNA
