A technical centre of the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute was inaugurated and put into operation on August 23 with State President Truong Tan Sang in attendance. The project to restore and upgrade the institute’s technical centre has a total investment of more than 102 billion VND (4.48 million USD). It is seen as a big step to fully improve the institute’s facilities.
After two years of construction, the 18,200-square-metres centre is expected to facilitate the public’s access to high-quality health services and reduce overload at cardiology facilities in southern localities.
Established in 1991, the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute has been leading the southern region in treating cardiology-related diseases and deformities. On the occasion, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to four individuals who have outstanding contribution to institute.-VNA
