Showing delight at the growing cooperation between Japan and Vietnam andHo Chi Minh City in particular, Tam expressed her hope that Keisuke Suzuki willcontinue working to strengthen bilateral ties as well as connection among youngstersof Ho Chi Minh and Japan.
For his part, Keisuke Suzuki, who is also alegislator, said that in the future, Japan and Ho Chi Minh City should continueorganising delegation exchanges to promote friendship and mutual understandingbetween the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City and the LDP’s Youth Division.
He thanked leaders of Ho Chi Minh City forsupporting Japanese investors, asking the city to continue backing Japanesefirms in seeking investment opportunities in the city in areas of thelocality’s demand such as environmental protection, wastewater treatment, waterpollution and climate change.
Japan is currently one of the top partners of Ho Chi Minh City ininvestment, trade, culture and education. The city is also the leading localityin carrying out people-to-people activities with Japan through cultural and artexchanges, Vietnam-Japan cultural festivals and youth, student meetings.-VNA
