HCM City (VNA) - The hotline connecting citizens to Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Cit🍷y Party Committee Dinh La Thang received nearly 1,200 calls and over 800 SMS messag🍨es from February 19 to 21.
The Party Committee’s office announced the hotline number of 0888 247 247 on February 19, aiming to collect citizens’ opinions and suggestions for the city’s comprehensive development.
Most of the calls reported problems in urban management, especially traffic jam, flooding and environmental pollution, public security and social order, administrative reform, among others.
The office has submitted all these calls and SMS to the municipal Party chief and forwarded them to concerned agencies.
Politburo member Dinh La Thang has been named Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Party Committee following the Politburo’s decision.
Administrative reform in all fields is at the top of the agenda for HCM City this year as it bids to attract more foreign investment and improve the business climate.
Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest business and trade hub in Vietnam.
It led other localities in reeling in foreign direct investment in 2015 with inflows of 4.5 billion USD.-VNA
