HCM City(VNA) – A wide range of entertainment activities will be organised in Ho ChiMinh City during the National Day holidays from September 2-4.
During the holidays, the Dam Sen Cultural Parkin District 11 will offer numerous activities themed the “Autumn Festival”. Akite that is 50 metres long and 30 metres wide and carries about 4,000 wisheswritten by visitors to the park in the summer, along with two other giantkites, will help fly 70 smaller kites.
Visitors can also enjoy unique traditional andmodern arts and take part in street music performances. They can benefit from50 percent discount tickets when wearing Vietnamese flag-themed T-shirts.
At the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and on NguyenHue walking street in District 1, a free musical programme will be held by theHCM City Student Culture Centre on August 30 evening. A number of students willperform pieces of traditional and modern music along with school fashiondesigns.
Also at the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, themunicipal Department of Culture and Sports is going to organise an artprogramme marking the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and NationalDay (September 2).
Hundreds of famoussingers and actors will participate in special singing and dancing performancesto re-enact the country’s struggle for national freedom and impendence.
While many plays will be performed at theatresacross HCM City, local cinemas will also introduce new films and promotionprogrammes during the holidays.-VNA

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
