HCM City wants to boost ties with Russian localities
Ho Chi Minh City wants to continue boosting cooperation with Russia in exchange of delegations and locality-to-locality exchange, a municipal official said.

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City wants to continue boosting cooperation withRussia in exchange of delegations and locality-to-locality exchange, amunicipal official said.
Permanent Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quanghosted a reception for deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for YouthAffairs Andrei Platonov in the city on July 26.
Quang hailedthe visit, which he said, comes at a time when Vietnam – Russia, Russia –Vietnam Year 2019-2020 is underway.
He said HoChi Minh City wants the two countries’ young people to hold many friendshipactivities during Saint Petersburg Days in the city scheduled for October.
Platonov,for his part, said the Russian people always want to foster friendship andpartnership with the Vietnamese fellows.
The guestadded that the Vietnam – Russia Youth Forum in Vietnam and Russia – VietnamYouth Forum slated for September in Moscow and Saint Petersburg will contributeto further enhancing exchange between the two countries’ youths as well asbetween Vietnamese and Russian localities.-VNA
Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received visiting deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Russian President Alexander Anikin in the city on February 20.
The National Committee on Youth of Vietnam and the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs on July 23 signed a cooperation agreement for the 2019-2022 period.

The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
