Moscow (VNA) – Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong 🀅Thi Mai𓆉 met with Vietnamese expatriates in Russia on September 11.

She affirmed that the Party considers overseas Vietnamese an integral part of national unity and an important resource. Opinions raised by the overseas Vietnamese will help the Party devise better policies towards Vietnamese abroad, she said.
Do Xuan Hoang, President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia , said the meeting helps Vietnamese in Russia understand more about difficulties facing their homeland. Vietnamese in Russia are united in contributing to Vietnam, he said. Earlier, Mai visited the Moscow Trade Centre or Liublino market where many overseas Vietnamese run businesses.
Later the same day, she met with the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Association of Russian War Veterans who fought in Vietnam. At the meeting, Mai stressed the friendship between the two nations, which has helped boost the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. Vietnam remembers the great support of people of the former Soviet Union, including Russia, during the struggle for national independence, construction and defence, she noted.
The official expressed her hope that the two associations will continue to work with the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association and the Association of Vietnamese War Veterans to connect the two countries’ people, promote cooperation between localities and businesses and educate young generations about the relationship.-VNA
