Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Van Khoa hosted a reception for Deputy Governor of Yunnan provౠince ꦐof China Li Jiang on May 10.

Khoa said Ho Chi Minh City has so far established partnership with seven Chinese cities and provinces, and China is currently the 14 th largest investor in the city.
He expressed his hope that the city and Yunnan would increase cooperation in trade, tourism and culture, thereby helping raise mutual understanding of the two peoples and foster Vietnam-China ties. Li, for her part, wished that the visit would extend cooperation between Vietnam and China, and between Vietnamese localities and Yunnan.
Ho Chi Minh City and Yunnan hold supplementary strengths, particularly in trade and culture, she said. She hoped that Ho Chi Minh City firms would invest more in Yunnan.-VNA
