Sydney (VNA)♓ – The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism on May 13 and 14 partnered with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney to host a series of promotion events aimed at attracting Australian tourists.

Over 25 representatives from Vietnamese airlines, travel agents, hospitality providers and industry associations attended the road show. A business-to-consumer (B2C) event stood out, featuring live entertainment, informative presentations, and a comprehensive overview of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism experiences, all designed to enable Australian visitors to plan their dream vacations, said Deputy Director of the department Le Truong Hien Hoa.
A business networking event also connected the city’s tourism companies with their counterparts from New South Wales state. The event attracted more than 2,500 visitors who explored over 25 booths showcasing a variety of prominent tourism products and services. Beyond browsing travel options, they were treated to an immersive cultural experience like "to he" figurine crafting, "non la" (conical hat) painting, traditional silk painting demonstrations, and "ao dai" (traditional long dress) fashion shows.
Traditional music and dance performances by the Bong Sen Theatre of Traditional Music and Dance also captivated visitors, offering a glimpse into Vietnam's rich cultural heritage. Following the success of the Sydney events, the roadshow will continue in Melbourne on May 17, offering another opportunity for Australians to discover the beauty and charm of Ho Chi Minh City./.
