On March 10, Hoi An recorded the first infectioncase, a 58-year-old man from the UK on Flight VN0054 together with a number ofother passengers who have tested positive for the virus.
Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, director of Hoi An city’sCulture-Sports and Information-Television Centre, said that the suspension willlast until the end of March 31 and the city will make thorough preparations towelcome visitors again.
Based on the disease developments, the localitywill announce the reopening of tourism activities to ensure safety for localsand tourists, Cam stated, adding that earlier Hoi An city temporarily stoppedwelcoming visitors to Cu Lao Cham isle, Bay May coconut forest, Thanh Ha ceremicsvillage, and Tra Que vegetable village.
