Import licences to be granted online from November 1

Companies will be able to apply for import licences online from November 1 this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)’s Foreign Trade Agency.

Hanoi (VNA) – Companies will be able to apply for import licences online from November 1 this year, according tothe Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)’s Foreign Trade Agency.

The agency has announced that it will startproviding import and export-related public services at Level 3 on the MoIT’s online portal –online.moit.gov.vn on November 1.

The move ispart of its efforts tostreamline administrative procedures and facilitate foreign trade.

The onlineservices are applicable for the issuance and re-issuance of and amendments to auto import licences; and the issuance, re-issuance and extension of,and amendments tocertificates of entitlement of import-export rights to foreign traders without a presence in Vietnam.

The agencyalso said it will stop accepting hard-copy applications the same day./.
