The embassy and Chulalongkorn University have jointly hosted an event to markthe International Day of Yoga, which falls on June 21 of every year, in front of the statues of His Majesty King Rama V and HisMajesty King Rama VI.
Thai Deputy Prime Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn presided over the openingceremony where he was joined by the Indian ambassador and those from otherforeign embassies.
The objective is to promote the ancient knowledge of the Indian yoga whichhelps people to improve their concentration and to be in a peaceful state ofmind.-VNA
