Israel water week opens in Vietnam

The Israel Water Week is taking place in Hanoi from July 9-13 with a string of activities to promote sustainable management of water resource, the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam said on July 9.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Israel Water Week is taking place in Hanoi from July9-13 with a string of activities to promote sustainable management of waterresource, the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam said on July 9.

The event is held by the embassy and relevant agencies in collaboration withthe Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science andTechnology, and the Agriculture and Rural Development.

Israeli and Vietnamese experts will share experience in sustainable waterresource planning and management, and innovation in the water sector at aconference on July 13.

Besides, a conference on Israeli water standardisation is underway until July12 with five sessions: water policy in Israel, management of water suppliers,drip irrigation, waste water recycling and international standards, andindustrial sewage treatment.

Also, a conference on the role of technologies in the water sector’sdevelopment will be held on July 12 afternoon. Nearly 20 Israeli companies andexperts, and Vietnamese representatives will join the event to discuss Israel’swater technologies.

Drip irrigation, industrial sewage treatment, and sewage filtering and recyclingwill be on the table.-VNA

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public.
