Japan-Vietnam film about expat teacher to screen in September

A joint Japan-Vietnam film project has been completed and will be screened in September in Japan, one of the film's directors, Tat Binh said.

Entitled Betonamu No Kaze Ni Fukarete (Final Days of Lifein Vietnam), the movie features an expatriate Japanese teacher inVietnam, who brings along her mother to start a new life in the country.

Themovie is based on writer Komatshu Miyuki's life story entitled Echigono Bachan Vietnam e Yuku (Echigo's Grandma Goes to Vietnam).

Japaneseactress Keiko Matsuzaka, singer Fujie Reina, the band NMB48 andVietnamese veteran actor Tran Hanh are part of the film's cast.

Japanese Director Kazuki Omori has also worked on the project.-VNA
