Tokyo (VNA) – Many Vietnamese people in Japan, especially the graduates ofJapanese universities, have received timely and effective assistance from alocal employment service company over the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Foundedin 2010, GoWell is one of the prestigious suppliers of Asian workers for localbusinesses. Most of its job applicants were previously from Thailand, Myanmar, and China. Since the pandemic broke out, the number of Vietnamese coming tothis firm to look for help has surged to about 1,900, accounting for 60 percentof the job applications sent to it.

GoWellDirector Hidekazu Matsuda told the Vietnam News Agency that after learningabout many Vietnamese people in Japan losing their jobs and a large number of graduatesunable to seek employment as local businesses had to scale down operations, hiscompany decided to offer maximum assistance to connect the businesses in needof workers with Vietnamese job seekers.

For thepast nearly two years, GoWell has successfully helped more than 50 Vietnamesepeople become official employees of enterprises in Japan, he went on, notingthat though this figure remains modest compared to the applicants, it is stillimpressive amid difficulties facing the Japanese economy.

Matsudaadded understanding the hardships faced by Vietnamese job seekers, his company hascollected brokerage fees only from employers, not the seekers.

Vu VanHoa from Hanoi said he used to encounter numerous job seeking difficultiesafter graduating from Tokyo Fuji University in April 2020, when the pandemicwas ravaging. Thanks to support from GoWell, he has been officially employed bythe Tokyo-based City Computer company with a monthly income of about 2,500 USD.

GoWellhas not only shown its professionalism but also paid attention to workingconditions and treatment for employees to introduce suitable employers to jobseekers, thus helping him quickly integrate into City Computer and bring intoplay his capacity, Hoa said.

As theJapanese Government is gradually easing anti-pandemic measures and acceleratingeconomic recovery, the recruitment demand of Japanese companies will increasefrom the second quarter of 2022, according to Matsuda.

His companywill strive to give maximum support to help Asian people, especially those fromSoutheast Asia, including Vietnam, to find suitable jobs, which he said willalso contribute to post-pandemic recovery of Japanese enterprises./.
