Japanese film festival to come to big cities

A Japanese film festival will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Vung Tau from November 11 to December 15 as part of activities to celebrate the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year 2013.

According to organisers, eight Japanese popular contemporary movies will be screened at the “Kizuna” (Bond) film festival.

The eight renowned cinematic works, which won numerous internationalprizes, include “Tokyo Family” directed by Yoji Yamada in 2013, “Graveof the Fireflies” by Isao Takahata in 1988, “Someday” by Junji Sakamotoin 2011, and “Rebirth” by Izuri Narushima in 2011.-VNA
